January 2013 announcements

 Jan 2, 3013

This announcement pertains to only those who are in our North Carolina Data center who are   dedicated server or VPS server clients. Our renumbering of our IP space has been 100% complete since 1 Jan 2013; the old circuit is still active and will be turned down this week.  Looking at the network traffic there are still a few of you still using our old network. If you are still using the old IP space on the 208.XX, 66.XX, or 67.XX net blocks anything you have running on that IP space will stop functioning. For those of you that have made the switch or had us assist you with the switch we thank you. Several of you have had support request open now for over 2 months (tickets ignored)  and all non-international clients we have been called on the phone (left message if available) so please check your open support tickets. ALL new IP space has been assigned to your server and has been active for over 2 months

All clients in the Cedar Falls & Las Vegas Data centers are unaffected and anyone that has always been using the 198.102.XX network you may ignore this notice.

Some of you have asked what happened to the free hosting giveaway.  I saw your announcement but I was too late to act on the promotion before it ended?

In 2011 and early 2012 we celebrated our 10 year Anniversary, many of you did not have a chance to take advantage of the Free hosting give away for whatever reason, and so we have extended our FREE Hosting Give Away!

Want to get 3 months of Free hosting?
2013 Free hosting give away just our way of saying thanks for being part of our hosting family. Click the link to find out.

This will be the third and final announcement:

Since opening a New Data in Las Vegas we have made some changes to our DNS servers so if you are a reseller hosting client or  a shared hosting client  that uses your own private name servers  we have changed our DNS server IP addresses  to add more geographic  redundancy.

The new IP addresses are as follows
198.102.28.3
198.102.29.3

198.102.29.2
198.102.28.4

For best redundancy use all 4
If you are only using 2 Name servers use them in  any of pairs as they are separated for redundancy,    for your NS1 & NS2 name servers.

If you are using any of our name servers you need not do anything   we have been running on the new DNS servers since September 2012.

Please note the exiting DNS servers will continue to function until March 2013, any DNS servers that were running in North Carolina will stop functioning next week so please update your Name servers IP's at your registrar   before that time.

If you have any questions please feel free to open a support ticket.
